°Degree Dance Collective is an ensemble of dance artists living in New York City united by their baccalaureate degrees in dance and who are artistically invested in creating in new dance works and  committed to remaining engaged in the dance field by utilizing the contacts and knowledge garnered through their formal education.

Through a network of peers, °Degree members will benefit from the pooled knowledge and resources of the group, fostering a community of support that provides structure and incentive for continued, meaningful involvement in the dance field after college.

We will maintain an active monthly agenda/ calendar of studio showings, group rehearsals, group dance-related activities, “meet-ups,” and guest speakers culminating in bi-annual public performances. These performances will be an opportunity for ⁰Degree dance artists to show new works while expanding artistic the channels of the greater dance community. In performance and composition sessions, collective members act as both choreographers and dancers in an open environment of experimentation and growth that lessens the financial burden of monetary exchange between dance artists.

°Degree will also work diligently to archive all of the work of its artists for their use. We will use technology and contemporary media models to share and market our work to public audiences.
